AmusementPins launched on July 22, 2026.
Documenting Amusement-Park Pins
Amusement parks have produced an enormous number of collectible pins, yet information about many of them is scattered across gift shops, old photographs, videos, employee collections, marketplace listings, personal collections, archives, and forgotten boxes.
AmusementPins was created to bring that information together.
Our goal is to build a detailed, searchable, community-supported database of collectible pins associated with amusement parks, theme parks, rides, attractions, events, employees, manufacturers, and park organizations.
AmusementPins is intended to help collectors, park fans, employees, researchers, and historians document pins that might otherwise disappear from the historical record.
What We Document
AmusementPins may document:
Souvenir pins.
Ride and attraction pins.
Anniversary pins.
Event pins.
Employee pins.
Award and recognition pins.
Limited-edition pins.
Mystery-box pins.
Retired pins.
Historical pins.
Pin sets and collections.
Manufacturers.
Release estimates.
Earliest documented appearances.
Latest documented appearances.
Parks and locations where pins were available.
Historical context and supporting sources.
Some pins have clear release dates, edition sizes, manufacturers, and documented histories.
Others may be known only through a photograph, video, employee collection, marketplace listing, historical source, or documented sighting.
When an exact release date is unknown, AmusementPins may display the earliest currently documented appearance.
That does not necessarily mean the pin was manufactured or released during that year. It means that the date represents the earliest reliable evidence currently available to us.
Community Contributions
AmusementPins grows through community submissions.
Registered users may help by:
Adding missing pins.
Uploading original pin photographs.
Improving descriptions.
Identifying manufacturers.
Documenting where and when pins were available.
Providing reliable sources.
Reporting duplicates.
Correcting inaccurate information.
Sharing information about employee, historical, retired, or difficult-to-document pins.
Users should upload only images they created, own, have permission to use, or are otherwise legally permitted to submit.
Finding an image through a search engine, marketplace listing, social-media post, video, or another website does not automatically mean the image is free to reuse.
Image Restoration and Processing
Many historical or user-submitted pin photographs are small, blurry, compressed, poorly lit, or otherwise difficult to view.
AmusementPins operates self-hosted image-processing systems that may automatically improve submitted images.
Depending on the image and feature being used, processing may include:
Upscaling.
Restoration.
Sharpening.
Noise reduction.
Format conversion.
Resizing.
Cropping.
Thumbnail generation.
Metadata removal.
Watermarking.
Other technical quality improvements.
The processing is performed using systems controlled by AmusementPins rather than by sending submitted pin images to an outside AI image-processing provider.
When an uploaded pin image is restored or enhanced, AmusementPins may display the improved version publicly while retaining the original uploaded version privately as an archival source copy.
The archived original is not intended to be publicly displayed merely because a processed version is shown.
Automated image enhancement can occasionally introduce inaccuracies or visual artifacts. The processed image should therefore be treated as an improved representation of the submitted photograph, not as independent historical evidence that details absent from the original definitely existed.
AI-Assisted Pin Search
AmusementPins may use self-hosted computer-vision and AI-assisted systems to help users find pins from photographs.
These systems may analyze visual characteristics of an image and compare them against images or derived search information in the AmusementPins database.
Automated matching may use information such as visual features, image fingerprints, machine-generated descriptions, similarity data, or other computer-generated representations.
AI-assisted search results are suggestions, not guarantees.
A visual match does not prove that a pin is authentic, official, identical, rare, valuable, or manufactured by a particular company.
The systems are intended to make the database easier to search, not to replace documented evidence or human review.
Independently Operated and Self-Hosted
AmusementPins is independently operated and primarily self-hosted in Utah, United States.
The authoritative AmusementPins website application, account database, pin database, user-submitted pin materials, image-processing systems, search systems, moderation records, and related project data are maintained on infrastructure controlled by AmusementPins.
This gives us direct control over how the core database and uploaded materials are stored and processed.
AmusementPins does use outside internet infrastructure where necessary.
For example, Cloudflare may provide network routing, reverse-proxy, security, caching, performance, DNS, or related delivery services.
Public website content may therefore pass through or be temporarily cached by outside network infrastructure even though AmusementPins maintains the authoritative copy on its own systems.
Domain registration, certificate services, Internet connectivity, and email delivery may also involve outside providers.
In other words, the database lives with us. The Internet still insists on involving other computers in the process.
Our Map
AmusementPins uses map data derived from OpenStreetMap to document amusement parks and pin-related locations.
The map infrastructure is self-hosted by AmusementPins for normal map delivery rather than relying on OpenStreetMap's public tile servers as the primary map host.
OpenStreetMap is a collaborative mapping project maintained by contributors around the world. It is independent from AmusementPins and does not sponsor, endorse, or operate AmusementPins.
Map information may be incomplete, outdated, or inaccurate.
Park names, boundaries, addresses, coordinates, and other geographic information may be corrected when better information becomes available.
OpenStreetMap-derived map data is displayed with the required attribution to OpenStreetMap contributors and is subject to the Open Database License.
Accuracy and Corrections
We want the database to be as useful and accurate as possible, but amusement-park merchandise is often poorly documented.
Listings may contain:
Estimates.
Incomplete information.
Unconfirmed manufacturers.
Approximate dates.
Historical information based on limited surviving evidence.
Information contributed by community members.
New evidence may cause a listing to be corrected, expanded, merged, or otherwise updated.
Sources are especially useful for documenting:
Release dates.
Retirement dates.
Manufacturers.
Limited-edition quantities.
Employee-only distribution.
Historical availability.
First documented appearances.
Last documented appearances.
Corrections may be submitted through AmusementPins or sent to:
Independent and Unofficial
Unless specifically stated otherwise, AmusementPins is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or officially connected to any amusement park, theme park, manufacturer, attraction operator, entertainment company, or other organization represented in the database.
Park names, ride names, logos, characters, trademarks, and other protected material belong to their respective owners.
They are referenced for identification, documentation, historical research, commentary, education, and informational purposes.
Help Build the Database
Thousands of amusement-park pins remain undocumented.
You can help preserve this part of amusement-park history by:
Submitting pins from your collection.
Providing original photographs.
Documenting gift-shop sightings.
Sharing reliable sources.
Correcting incomplete listings.
Identifying unknown pins.
Reporting duplicate or inaccurate records.
Every contribution helps create a more complete historical record for collectors, park fans, historians, employees, and anyone else who has somehow developed suspiciously strong opinions about tiny pieces of decorated metal.
