These terms apply to the AmusementPins website, official apps, accounts, database, submission tools, maps, image tools, and related services. By using AmusementPins, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
1. About AmusementPins
AmusementPins is an independent, community-supported database documenting amusement-park pins. It launched on July 22, 2026. Records may draw on user submissions, original photographs, documented sightings, historical materials, and other sources.
Unless we specifically say otherwise, AmusementPins is not affiliated with or endorsed by the parks, manufacturers, attraction operators, or other organizations represented in the database. Their names, logos, characters, and trademarks belong to their owners. Listing a pin or displaying an ad does not establish an official relationship.
We maintain our core application, databases, submitted materials, and image-processing systems on infrastructure we control. We also use outside services for network delivery, security, sign-in, email, advertising, and app distribution.
2. Age requirements and accounts
You must be at least 13 to create an account, submit content, upload images, or provide personal information. People under 13 may view public pages but may not use those account or submission features. If you are below the age of legal adulthood where you live, obtain a parent or guardian's permission where required.
Provide reasonably accurate account information, use only accounts you are authorized to use, and keep your credentials secure. Tell us if you believe your account has been compromised. You are responsible for activity you authorize through your account.
Do not impersonate another person, park, business, or staff member. We may require misleading, abusive, or inappropriate profile details to be changed.
3. Submissions and ownership
You can contribute photographs, pin details, sources, corrections, sightings, and other material supported by the service. You retain ownership of original content you create; submitting it does not transfer your copyright to us.
Submit content only if you created it, own the relevant rights, have appropriate permission, or are otherwise legally entitled to submit it. Finding a photograph on a marketplace, search engine, social-media post, video, or archive does not automatically give you permission to upload it.
Your submissions must not violate copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights. Identify sources where possible, and do not present estimates or guesses as confirmed facts.
4. Permission to use submissions
By submitting content, you grant AmusementPins a nonexclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to use it as reasonably needed to operate, maintain, improve, preserve, explain, and promote the service.
This includes storing, reproducing, and displaying material submitted for public use; including it in pin records, collections, maps, and searches; creating thumbnails and technical versions; resizing, cropping, compressing, converting, watermarking, restoring, or upscaling images; removing metadata; creating search indexes, fingerprints, and visual features; and retaining originals for provenance, moderation, and backups.
Public contributions may appear on pages supported by advertising. This does not transfer ownership of your content or authorize us to sell your photograph as unrelated stock imagery.
Photos uploaded only for search or collection scans are used to provide and maintain those features. They are not public submissions unless you separately submit them for publication.
Image and account removal requests are covered below and in our Privacy Policy. Necessary backup, moderation, or legal records may remain after removal.
5. Image processing, searches, and collection scans
We may process images using self-hosted automated or AI-assisted systems. Processing can improve clarity but can also introduce artifacts or details that were not clear in the original. An enhanced image is not conclusive evidence of the physical pin's appearance.
We may display a processed submission while keeping its original privately for comparison, reprocessing, provenance, moderation, and recovery.
Find A Pin and Scan My Collection provide possible matches. They can miss pins, return incorrect results, or fail to complete. Review matches before confirming additions to your collection. Jobs and results may be saved so you can return later, and we may email you when processing is complete.
A match, description, or similarity score does not establish authenticity, official status, manufacturer, rarity, value, licensing, or ownership. Use documented evidence and your judgment when those questions matter.
6. What you may not do
Do not:
- Submit unlawful content or material you lack the right to use.
- Knowingly provide false or misleading pin information.
- Harass, threaten, impersonate, or expose another person's private information.
- Upload private documents, passwords, payment details, sensitive personal information, malware, or malicious code.
- Attempt unauthorized access or bypass security controls, rate limits, or account restrictions.
- Disrupt the service, overload its systems, or deliberately exhaust image-processing resources.
- Manipulate submissions, reports, votes, or other records.
- Spam users or use submissions to advertise unrelated products without permission.
- Generate fraudulent ad clicks or impressions, encourage artificial ad engagement, or use bots to manipulate advertising.
- Copy substantial portions of the database using automated tools without permission or circumvent anti-scraping controls.
Ordinary personal browsing and normal search-engine indexing are allowed. Review images for private information and metadata before uploading them. We cannot guarantee that every type of metadata will be removed.
7. Moderation and account restrictions
We may review, correct, merge, relabel, reject, hide, archive, or remove submissions. Reasons include inaccurate or duplicate information, poor-quality or unrelated content, rights complaints, privacy concerns, abuse, or violations of these terms.
We are not required to publish every submission or provide a detailed explanation for every moderation decision. We may restrict, suspend, or close accounts where reasonably needed to enforce these terms, address repeated infringement, protect users, or prevent abuse. You can contact us about a moderation decision.
8. Accuracy and preservation
Pin merchandise is often poorly documented. Records may be incomplete, outdated, estimated, or incorrect. New evidence can lead to changes.
An “earliest documented appearance” means the earliest evidence currently available to us. It does not necessarily establish the manufacturing, announcement, release, or first-sale date.
We do not guarantee authenticity, value, manufacturer, edition size, or official status. Verify information independently before buying, selling, trading, insuring, or authenticating a pin.
Keep your own copies of important photographs and information. We do not guarantee permanent preservation of submissions or successful recovery of every backup.
9. Maps
Our maps use OpenStreetMap-derived data, which remains subject to its license and attribution requirements. OpenStreetMap is independent of AmusementPins and does not endorse the service.
Map labels, boundaries, addresses, and coordinates may be incomplete or inaccurate. Verify location information when it matters.
10. Advertising and external services
AmusementPins may display ads, including ads served through Google AdSense, to help support the service. Ads should be distinguishable from database content. An ad does not mean we endorse the advertiser, product, or its claims.
External websites, advertisements, marketplaces, and services have their own terms and privacy practices. We do not control their availability, security, content, or transactions. Subject to rights that cannot legally be excluded, dealings with an advertiser or outside seller are between you and that provider.
Advertising data and privacy choices are explained in our Privacy Policy. Agreement to these terms does not replace any separate consent required for advertising cookies or personal data use.
11. Copyright concerns
If you own copyright or represent the owner, report suspected infringement to [email protected].
Include identification of the work, the allegedly infringing material and its location on AmusementPins, your contact details, a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law, and a statement that the information is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act for the owner. Include a physical or electronic signature.
We may remove or restrict access to reported material and may terminate accounts associated with repeated infringement. If you believe a removal was a mistake, contact us.
12. Account deletion and image removal
You may stop using AmusementPins at any time. Request account deletion through an available account setting or by emailing us. You may also request removal of an image you own or submitted.
Deleting an account does not necessarily remove independently documented pin facts. Contributions and attribution may be removed, retained, or anonymized as described in our Privacy Policy and permitted by law.
After an accepted image-removal request, we will not keep publicly displaying the image solely because an archival copy exists. Temporary copies may remain in backups, caches, or necessary moderation and security records until they expire. Other lawful retention grounds or separate permissions may apply.
License, record-retention, intellectual-property, liability, and dispute provisions continue after account closure only to the extent reasonably necessary and legally permitted.
13. Availability and changes
The service can be interrupted by maintenance, hardware or software problems, processing failures, power or internet outages, security incidents, or other events. We may change, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, successful processing, compatibility with every device, permanent availability of features, or immediate correction of errors.
14. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle accounts, Google sign-in, uploads, scans, collections, logs, maps, advertising, and privacy choices. Please read it alongside these terms.
15. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, AmusementPins is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties about accuracy, completeness, reliability, availability, authenticity, value, processing results, or preservation.
To the extent permitted by law, AmusementPins and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages arising from use of the service, inaccurate records or automated results, lost submissions, outages, unauthorized access, or third-party services and transactions.
Nothing in these terms excludes warranties, consumer protections, or liability that cannot legally be excluded. A disagreement with a listing or moderation decision does not, by itself, entitle someone to compensation.
To the extent permitted by law, you are responsible for claims and losses caused by your unlawful conduct, infringement of another person's rights, or violation of these terms.
16. Updates and governing law
We may update these terms as the service changes. Updated terms show a revised date. We will provide additional notice of material changes where appropriate or legally required. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance to the extent permitted by law; any consent required by law must be obtained separately.
These terms are governed by Utah law, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Where permitted by law, disputes will be heard in an appropriate state or federal court in Utah. This does not prevent eligible small-claims cases or override mandatory rights to bring a claim elsewhere.
If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply. Not enforcing a provision on one occasion does not waive it.
